SAT Tips and Tricks

The SATs are one of the most important tests you'll ever take in your life. Well, that's how they seem. This one test seems to have the ability to determine which college we go to and our success in the future. I am not a genius nor and I ever going to get that coveted 2400 but I do know some tips and tricks that I think will help!

My #1 advice would be to take practice tests. Practice, practice, and practice. You can never practice enough. The SAT is always in the same format. The questions are all essentially the same. Practicing will allow you to familiarize yourself with the test and everything on it.

I would also suggest investing in Collegeboard's SAT Study Guide! It comes with 10 different practice tests. Since Collegeboard creates the test you will be guaranteed relevant information.

For the essay I would suggest 1.5 to 2 pages of writing. The intro only has to be 2-3 sentences. Just get to the point! The body paragraphs should b filled with relevant and supporting information. If you run out of time, make sure you write at least 1-2 sentences for the conclusion. Use strong vocabulary and strong arguments and this should guarantee you at least a 5.

Also, Princeton Review's Grammar Smart is AMAZING! It is filled with grammar rules and tips! It is a must buy for all test takers.
