College Single Jitters

When I saw this quote, I immediately thought of my relationship. As most of you know, I am going off the college next year. The usual approach is to just end your high school relationship and move on to college and go your separate ways. As of now, this is still the plan but it is not a plan that makes me happy. It is not like we have talked about it or anything but I think it is understood. It is not like I can see myself getting married to him but it is hard for me to imagine my life without him. It is just so much easier to imagine my future with him. Sure, I have been single for the past 15 years of my life but I feel like once you experience something so great, you don't want to go back.

Maybe it has to do with me being a hopeless romantic. I want my happily ever after, and I want to find my prince charming as soon as possible. I know they say you have to kiss a few frogs before you find a prince, but I would not mind skipping the whole process. Then again, I am not comfortable with having dated only one person my entire life. I feel like I am getting ahead of myself here.

Have anyone of you been in a similar situation? Comment below with your stories and suggestions :) I'd love to hear them :)

Inspire #3

I just wanted to say that I am BEYOND nervous for college. I can't wait for the freedom but I am really going to miss my friends. I feel like we spend such a great portion of our lives building these relationships yet when college comes around they all just fall apart. I mean how many couples stay together after high school. Its so devastating because I feel like I am so happy where I am right now and I am so scared for that to change. Like I wrote in one of my previous posts, what if I can't find anyone better. It is actually so scary. I get teary eyed just thinking about it.

I would love to hear about your experiences with change! Comment below

SAT OR ACT

Honestly guys, I am more of an SAT person. I love having extra time to nap during my test and I love that I get to rotate sections. The ACT is just way too long for me. My attention span simply CAN NOT do it. Not to mention the science section is impossible. Even though everything else is slightly easier, I don't actually recommend it. If you have any questions just comment below and they will be answered :)

SAT Tips and Tricks

The SATs are one of the most important tests you'll ever take in your life. Well, that's how they seem. This one test seems to have the ability to determine which college we go to and our success in the future. I am not a genius nor and I ever going to get that coveted 2400 but I do know some tips and tricks that I think will help!

My #1 advice would be to take practice tests. Practice, practice, and practice. You can never practice enough. The SAT is always in the same format. The questions are all essentially the same. Practicing will allow you to familiarize yourself with the test and everything on it.

I would also suggest investing in Collegeboard's SAT Study Guide! It comes with 10 different practice tests. Since Collegeboard creates the test you will be guaranteed relevant information.

For the essay I would suggest 1.5 to 2 pages of writing. The intro only has to be 2-3 sentences. Just get to the point! The body paragraphs should b filled with relevant and supporting information. If you run out of time, make sure you write at least 1-2 sentences for the conclusion. Use strong vocabulary and strong arguments and this should guarantee you at least a 5.

Also, Princeton Review's Grammar Smart is AMAZING! It is filled with grammar rules and tips! It is a must buy for all test takers.

Summer To Do's

This summer has been busier than the last. Last year at this time I expected to be finished with the tedious college process by now. I wanted to finish ALL my applications and tests. However, it did not work out that way for me.

Let's see a list of things I STILL have to do.
  1. Score above a 32 on my ACTs
  2. Score above a 2200 on my SATs
  3. Finish my summer reading (I still have two books, reading questions and an essay left)
  4. College Essay
  5. College Supplements
  6. DRIVE [I have no clue how I am going to pass my drivers exam]
Comment below with things you have still yet to do!

Clean Slate?

I have been told so many times that I worry too much. I realize this is true but I can't help it. I always like to think about my future whether it invokes happy or sad emotions.

Recently I have been thinking about college. This time next year I will be blogging from my college dorm room. This to me is both exciting and scary. Ever since I was little the thought of going to college was thrilling and I couldn't wait to leave. Now that its this close I am terrified. I have made so many great friends that I can't bear the thought of leaving behind.

Also, there is this guy. I have been with him for about a year now. It's been one crazy ride. More ups than downs which makes it ultimately worth it. We shall call him ☆. I have very conflicted feelings about this. On one hand it may be better to go into college with a clean slate. On the other... What if I can't find another guy like him?

Anyways, I still have a while before actually leaving for college!
